Sony DVP-CX995V DVD Player

This 400-disc DVD/CD changer has huge disc capacity, ideal for those with massive DVD and CD collections.

It is an upconverting player (to 1080i) and it can also play back SACD discs.

Reviews are generally mixed on the Sony DVP-CX995V jukebox DVD player, with some happy with performance , whilst others experienced problems passing all of the horizontal resolution of a DVD. Most viewers, however, will find the video quality perfectly acceptable.

Another split opinion is on the changer, some love it, others are irritated by some usability issues.

Sony DVP-NS75H / DVP-NS77H Upconverting DVD Player

Sony DVP-NS75H gets mostly positive reviews from both professionals and users. The one key issue relating to resolution topping out at 1080i has been rectified in the 1080p-capable Sony DVP-NS77H [Est. $100]..

The DVP-NS77H also has a revised drive system to minimize disc-reading errors. The DVP-NS77H is too new to have received much user feedback, but early owner reviews are good.
